DeathMessagesPrime v1.11.2 ~ 1.11

Fixing Guardians and Elder Guardians

Their names will now appear properly in death messages according to the mob-names in config.

Fix for older servers

This will make the version v1.11 work also in servers that have not yet updated to Minecraft 1.11. If you're already running Minecraft 1.11, the update has no changes.

Update for Minecraft 1.11

Added support for Evokers, Vindicators, Vexes and Llamas, as well as the new cramming message.

    Known issues:

Evoker fang death messages don't still work. I believe this issue is out of my reach and could be fixed in a later Spigot or Minecraft version.

Fix for versions older than 1.11

Fixed an error when running DMP v1.11 on Minecraft versions older than 1.11.

Fixing EvokerFangs

Now that the API has a method to get the entity that spawned evocation fangs, the Evoker death messages work now.

AreaEffectCloud fixes

    Config-version upped to 31 to add namedmob.EnderDragonBreath.

AREA_EFFECT_CLOUD(?) should be fixed now, attributing the death messages accordingly to players, ender dragons or dispensers.

The death messages will now be printed using the console sender if console-death-message-strip-colors is not enabled in the config.

 %world% Fixes

By using World.getName() instaed of World.toString(), the world names should be fixed now (instead of showing up as CraftWorld(name=world), it should now just be world). This also fixes custom-world-names.

 Adjusted priorities

Adjusted the priority of the entity damage events and added ignoreCancelled to EntityDamageByEntityEvent, which should prevent *Kill death messages if the damage from a specific entity was cancelled by a plugin.

 Added coordinate variables

You can now add %x%, %y% and %z% into death messages to display player coordinates. This note has also been added to the default configuration, but the config-version has not been upped seeing that no new options were added per se.

 New event for API

Added the DMPReloadEvent, which is triggered when the /dmsg reload command is called. This allows addons to reload themselves as well.

Added a new event to the API

The DeathPreDMPEvent is guaranteed to trigger on every player death before any other DMP events are triggered or any formatTag functions called. It's mainly intended for addons that need to do some preparations after the player has died but before any tags are formatted.

A related announcement: the first example plugin is ready! https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/dmpinventoryplayerinfo.34731/

A less related one: I'm planning to release the source code of both DMP and this recently released addon at some point in the future (hopefully soon)

 API

Fixed some bugs with color codes not passing on in death messages.
More importantly, there is now an addon/plugin API!

Using it is simple - use the DeathMessagesPrime JAR as a library to your plugin, add it as a dependency in plugin.yml, then simply obtain the DeathMessagesPrime object through Spigot's plugin manager.

After you've imported DMP and/or obtained the DMP object, you can:

use two of the DMP events - DeathMessagePreparedEvent which is used when the final form of the death message is complete (but no guarantee that the message will be broadcasted), and DeathMessageBroadcastEvent for every world the message is sent to (which can be cancelled).
use registerTag to register custom tags (like %player% and %world%).

The API and related functions also include javadocs.

I'm also going to release an official DMP addon in a day or two, which adds %inventory% (allows viewing a player's inventory during the death), %damagelog% which shows the amount of damage that caused the death and %potionlog% which will show the active potion effects on the player upon death.

Damage IndexOutOfBoundsException fix

With specific plugin combinations or kill commands, the damage for death events isn't unknown, which would've caused an IndexOutOfBoundsException. This version fixes the issue (and acknowledges that DeathPreDMPEvent.getDamage() can be 0 in such a case.

 AreaEffectCloud fixes #2

Unknown AreaEffectCloud messages will cause the UNKNOWN death message to pop up. Seemingly these messages have been popping up, but I'm not yet sure whether it's a bug in this plugin (missed some obscure death case, lingering potion outside of players, ender dragons and dispensers) or incompatibility with some other plugins.

Fix crash in versions older than v1.11

The crash was related to Horse classes. This fixes errors like "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/bukkit/entity/Donkey". No config changes needed.

Preparation for 1.12 and friendly mob death messages

Configuration files need to be regenerated.

Usually friendly mobs, such as animals (pig, sheep etc.) have death messages now (for when a player is killed by one). This is intended for mods, custom maps or plugins (such as Revenge by Asynchronous).

Also, some config features have already been added for upcoming 1.12 mobs (Illusioner and Parrot), as well as a config option for showing death messages for named pets (however, this isn't implemented yet, and will be implemented for version v1.12).

Fixed running DMP 1.12 on Minecraft versions older than 1.12

    Self-explanatory

Fixed Illusioner message

Illusioner messages, prior to this version, used UnknownArrow.

Updated for Minecraft 1.12

The plugin is also now built with Java 8 (the same version that is now required by the server itself).

No config changes are needed, since an earlier version already introduced the Illusioner and Parrot messages - this update will just make them work.

 Added show/hide API

The API concerns the DeathMessagePreparedEvent and allows plugins to add players to whom the death message will be shown or will not be shown regardless of most other conditions. An official plugin using this functionality will soon be released (this plugin will allow each individual player with sufficient permissions to hide death messages from specific players).
